HVC Canada Awarded Contract at the Edmonton International Airport

July 1, 2009—HVC Canada Ltd. is pleased to announce that they been awarded a Construction Advisory Contract from Stuart Olson Constructors Inc. for the Central Utilities Plant (CUP) at the Edmonton International Airport. The CUP Project is one of 3 major projects that are presently underway as part of the 1 Billion dollar “Expansion 2012” project that will increase passenger capacity to 9 million a year. June 1, 2009—HVC Canada Ltd. is pleased to announce that they have been awarded the University of Alberta Chemistry West Exhaust System Upgrades Project. HVC Open House a Roaring Success

May 4, 2009—HVC Canada held their “Soaring to new Heights” Open House at the Alberta Aviation Museum on April 30, 2009. Over 100 Clients, Suppliers, and Employees attended the function. The Open House gave HVC Canada an opportunity to showcase the progress of the firm since inception; what HVC Canada has to offer its clients; and what the future holds for the growing firm. The function also worked as an excellent networking event for all of the attendees.

HVC Canada Awarded Construction Advisory Services Contract

January 28, 2009—Stuart Olson, one of western Canada’s leading contractors, recently awarded the Mechanical and Electrical Advisory Services contract to HVC Canada Ltd. The project includes pre-construction services for the redevelopment of the existing Chemical and Materials Engineering facility and the construction of a new Laboratory tower. HVC Canada Awarded Edmonton Police Headquarters Wiring and Syncronization Project

November 17, 2008—The City of Edmonton awarded HVC Construction Management Ltd (HVCCM) with the Police Headquarters Generator Wiring and Synchronization Project. Phase 1 of the project scope consists of the installation of mechanical and electrical services to synchronize two new 750KW back up generators supporting the Police Services Headquarters. Phase 2 includes the de-commissioning of two existing 400KW Generators and related services and the reconstruction of the architectural features. Read the full press release.

HVC Construction Management Ltd. Achieves COR Recognition

November 4, 2008—HVC Construction Management Ltd. (HVCCM) has achieved COR recognition from the Alberta Employment and Immigration, Workplace Health and Safety. This Certificate of Recognition (COR) was achieved after HVCCM fulfilled the required criteria, with the last action being external audit by the Alberta Construction Safety Association—the administrative body of the COR Program—in which HVCCM achieved a 96% final score. HVC Awarded Switchgear Replacement Project

August 19, 2008—Edmonton’s Capital Health Region recently awarded HVC Canada the 15KV Switchgear Replacement Project. The project is located at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, one of the Capital Health Regions major healthcare centres. Work undertaking will include the replacement of the 15,000 volt load break switches and the 15,000 volt primary feeders, all the while maintaining continuous power service to this active facility.
